The blocks are made of non-phthalate PVC, and may have a strong plastic smell upon opening the package, as the toys are packed very quickly after manufacture. If you experience a strong smell with the blocks, we do recommend allowing the toys to air out in a well-ventilated area for 24 hours before use.
